VISION AND MISSION OF RSC CHENNAI

INTRODUCTION

The Regional Study Centre at Chennai was approved vide HQrs. Letter No. TRG/Div/3031/RSC Dt. 03.11.1997 and formally inaugurated on 01/04/98 with a dedicated hall at the Second Floor of Main Office, CDA Chennai, which is also equipped with a library. In order to constitute a second rung of training hierarchy RSCs were established to assume leadership role in functional areas like Pension, Airforce, Navy etc.

CDA Chennai takes great pride in being a unique controller with 5 distinct spheres of functions. Out of these, we are one of the two Controllers entrusted with Regional Study Centre responsibilities.

VISION OF RSC CHENNAI

RSC Chennai would focus on Human Resource Development of our Department in tandem with other Training Organisations of the Department like RTCs. Activities, which would directly enrich the working knowledge of our Officers and staff (Man Power enrichment) would form the core activities of RSC and would occupy our prime attention. It would provide a complement support to the training activities of RTC Bangalore. In the run up to filling the objectives of the mandate given to it, RSC would organise courses keeping in view the following purposes:

             a) To facilitate in depth training on micro level job-requirements.

          b) To provide for officers and staff who are constrained to plead exemptions from undergoing identified training courses, opportunities on par with other officers and staff of the Organisation.

            c) To meet the training needs of various offices of different commands in Southern Region, including CDA Chennai as supplement to RTC Bangalore.
